Trujillo & Winnick LLP has filed a class action arising from this fire: Ortegati, Inc. v. Lineage Logistics, LLC, Los Angeles Superior Court No. 26STCV19901. Allegations subject to proof.
What Happened
On June 17, 2026, a fire broke out at the Lineage Logistics cold storage warehouse at 1400 South Los Palos Street in Boyle Heights. The fire burned for hours, sending smoke over surrounding homes and businesses. Officials issued shelter-in-place guidance for parts of the surrounding area, and air-quality advisories warned residents about smoke and particulate exposure. Public reporting and agency statements identified anhydrous ammonia stored at the facility as a concern during the response. Residents and businesses have reported smoke odors, soot and ash on property, and disruption from the emergency response. The full extent of what was released, and its effects on the surrounding community, is what our investigation is working to determine.
